Waukesha Metal Products has been nominated for a 2010 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award. They are one of fifty-three Wisconsin companies nominated for this year’s prestigious awards, and are competing in the Small company size category, for companies with 1 – 99 employees.
Waukesha Metal Products was founded in 1971 and provides high quality precision tools, stampings, fabrications, value added services, and assembled components for global customers. They have 91 dedicated team members who supply high volume/low mix metal formed components and assemblies to a wide range of industries on a contract basis, including automotive, heavy vehicle, electrical controls, telecommunications, aerospace, and many more.
Waukesha Metal Products’ precision metal stampings range from simple metal parts to very complex assemblies. Specializing in automated precision progressive dies, feed capability ranges from 0.008 to 0.375 inch thick material with coil widths up to 50 inches and weights to 15,000 pounds. They have developed their own unique, advanced die sensor technology program to provide automation opportunities including in-die assembly, in-die welding and in-die measurement.
The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year award winners are selected by an independent panel of judges and held in confidence until being revealed during a black-tie awards banquet at The Pfister Hotel on February 24. Waukesha Metal Products will learn then if they won this year’s prestigious award.
