Waukesha® Metal Products and the Milwaukee Bucks will honor Retired Master Sergeant Kent Jones, an Army counterinsurgency advisor to the U.S. Military and coalition forces, at one of the fifteen Hardwood Homecoming Veteran Salutes Bucks games this Saturday Nov. 15, 2013 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Jones spent 22 years in the Special Forces and is now an Army counterinsurgency adviser to the U.S. Military and coalition forces. In the Army Special Forces Jones was deployed for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. On his last trip to Afghanistan he worked with U.S. and coalition forces stationed in Mazar-i-Sharif in Northern Afghanistan.
On Monday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day, Jones arrived home from Afghanistan. He made a stop at Dixon Elementary School in Brookfield, Wis. where he surprised his son, Julian Jones, at school who hadn’t seen his father in three months.
