Waukesha® Metal Products was approached by a customer to manufacture brake shields for pickup trucks with the design constructed on their 300 ton press with new automation, including a transfer. With the help of AP&T, Waukesha® Metal Products was able to design and implement a fully automatic process on the 300 ton press and manufacture the brake shields while also seeing a 15 percent reduction in piece price to other shield manufacturing processes.
