Waukesha® Metal Products and the Milwaukee Bucks honored Specialist Andrew Freeman of the Wisconsin Army National Guard 1157th Transportation Company at one of the ten Hardwood Homecoming Veteran Salutes Bucks games on March 12, 2013 against the Dallas Mavericks.
Specialist Freeman and the 1157th Transportation Company returned this past January after nearly a year in Afghanistan. During the mission, Freeman’s duties included Gunner and Assistance Mission Commander. While on the mission his gun truck was the first to respond to a “downed” vehicle that was hit by an I.E.D., also known as a roadside bomb. Specialist Freeman pulled critical security information that allowed soldiers to be safely evacuated and recovered from the “downed” vehicle. Specialist Freeman is always the first to volunteer and assist his fellow soldiers in any way possible.
Waukesha® Metal Products and the Milwaukee Bucks were proud to have the opportunity to say thank-you to Specialist Freeman for his service and welcome him home to the hardwood. The commitment and sacrifice our military have shown for this country is valued by all; their courage and dedication has not gone unnoticed. Thank you Specialist Freeman and the other members of your unit who have served our country, we cannot thank you enough.
