Waukesha® Metal Products and the Milwaukee Bucks will honor Major Mary Jo Literski at one of the fifteen Hardwood Homecoming Veteran Salutes Bucks games on March 29, 2014 against the Miami Heat. Major Literski is a Global War on Terrorism Veteran, having completed a tour of duty to Bagram, Air Base Afghanistan, with the 452nd serving as an Army Nurse at the Combat Support Hospital. While working in a tent city medical facility, and under constant threat of insurgent attack, Major Literski provided medical care to all military personnel and civilian contractors, as well as Afghan soldiers and local Afghan citizens. Major Literski is a lifelong resident of Wausau, Wisconsin where she continues to work as a nurse and lives with her husband Gerald. Major Literski has a daughter Amy, and two sons Patrick and Jerome as well as 5 grandsons. Waukesha® Metal Products and the Milwaukee Bucks were proud to have the opportunity to say thank-you to Major Mary Jo Literski for her service and welcome her home to the hardwood. The commitment and sacrifice our military have shown for this country is valued by all; their courage and dedication has not gone unnoticed.
