Job Purpose: Intern will have the opportunity to learn and develop solid accounting skills by supporting accounting department in its daily operations.

Essential Job Functions:
• Daily reconciliation of cash accounts
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month end close processes including standard journal entries
• Assist with month end compilation and data entry related to financial statements
• Assist with administrative duties
• Work with accountant on various duties including filing, cash application, collections as time allows
• Other duties as assigned
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures (5S)
• Understand and follow health, safety, security, quality, and environmental practices

Non-essential Job Functions:
• Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as requested by the VP/CFO or other member of management

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
• Accounting major with a Junior or Senior standing

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge:
• Ability to operate Windows and/or Apple based computers and working knowledge of typical office programs – i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to be discreet with confidential data
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers

Physical Demands:
• Requires standing, intermittent sitting, and walking
• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Occasionally required to reach above shoulders, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls

Training Requirements:
• Training requirements as applicable to the Quality Management System & Environmental System

Work Environment:
• Primary work is performed in office area
• Noise level in the manufacturing work environment is usually loud

Protective Equipment/Clothing required:
• Ear plugs
• Safety glasses with side shields
